River Maps Illustrated
All
of our works are hand drawn and crafted to very high standards of draughtsmanship,
detail and layout design. All commissions are carefully developed in full
consultation with our clients at all stages of progress (river features
survey / camcorder photography / line drafts / final drawing and colour).
Before commencing work we agree a full set of detailed requirements for
inclusion in the final hand drawn portrait.
We use multi layer techniques for obtaining our
special quality finishes and colour effects, which produce realism in
scenes of interest above and below water.
Our
cameos of bridges, pools, wildlife, country houses and other subjects
have earned a high reputation, as has also our detailed and thorough
portrayals of various river features, pool names and referencing
within the overall picture tableau.
Our
international client base includes Angling Safari Companies, Royal Estates,
Private Owners, Riparian Concession Holders, River Authorities, Angling
Associations; and our drawings now hang in Fishing Lodges from the Arctic
to the Antarctic (from the Kola to Tierra del Fuego), giving pleasure
and key information to all who use them.
Your
story is important to us, and the maps will always have a personal element,
which, only you as a client can give. You set the priorities, size of
drawing, required elements, sketches and titling, in consultation with
us, and the design process allows plenty of time for reviewing progress
as the project develops.
This
is entirely up to you, and we work to a realistic and agreed timetable
with you.
We
will go anywhere (reasonable!) and are experienced in relevant helicopter
and jet boat sequencing of surveys, for large, complex and relatively
inaccessible rivers and wild terrain. Most of our work however is land
based with wading sorties from time to time.

We
have wide experience of all practical aspects of Game Angling and will
always observe proper and sensible etiquette - we will not clump along
the banks putting all the fish down, nor will we wade through your favourite
lies and holding spots just when the fish start to become cooperative!
Our
efficiency and work pattern on survey is always helped by a good overnight
rest,
and these arrangements will form part of the contract. We do not ask
for 5 Star accommodations, but somewhere reasonably close to the river
is a great help. However, on occasion we have slept under upturned boats,
in helicopters, in drinks stores, under the stars, in castles and country
houses, on long haul flights, in top hotels, private houses, bed and
breakfast, in the car, in tents, log cabins - even a fishery Inspector's
hut.
We
are happy to conduct private viewings, put on exhibitions of work, give
illustrated talks and to make preliminary river assessments by prior
arrangement.
